Warranty 

  • The Original purchaser of any item(s) will receive a one-year warranty, (from the day of shipment) for all parts to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use.

Lockwood's obligation will be limited to repairing without cost to the original purchaser during the warranty period, any part or portion thereof, manufactured or sold under the Lockwood name, and judged defective after Lockwood's examination.

This warranty does not apply to any merchandise that had been subjected to neglect, alteration, misuse or accident. This warranty is subject to the user’s normal responsibility and will be in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, and of all other obligations or liabilities on our part.

Lockwood does not assume nor authorize any other person to undertake for us any other liability in connection with our merchandise.

This warranty will not be binding if at the time claim is filed, the purchaser is delinquent in payment due, under the terms of the sale.

 

 

HEAT UNIT WARRANTY

  • Heat units are under warranty for one year parts, labor and shipping within the contiguous United States.
  • Loaner heat units are no longer offered.
  • Warranty seal must not be broken. If broken, warranty is void
  • Warranty heat unit work must be authorized by Lockwood Manufacturing
  • No warranty work is authorized by local service agencies without prior approval by Lockwood.
  • Customers are responsible for any expedited shipping cost over the standard delivery charges during warranty.
  • All warranted heat units are subject to inspection.  If nothing is found defective or repairs are not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all charges up to the cost of a new heat unit plus shipping.

  

Return Goods

 

To Return Merchandise:

  • Must receive a Lockwood return authorization number.
  • Merchandise must be returned unused, pre-paid at the Customer's expense, and is subject to a minimum 25% restock charge.
  • Any return shipments sent collect or arriving damaged, Lockwood has the right to refusal.
  • Customized equipment cannot be returned.  This may include welded/set up racks, cabinets less than full height and some left hinged equipment.
  • Return authorizations may be denied in some instances.  If an order is placed for non-returnable goods, the buyer could be notified in advance.  Invoices may be noted as non-returnable or sign off may be required before production starts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Freight Terms

 

Terms:

·        All prices quoted are F.O.B. Livonia. MI  48150, U.S.A.

·        All orders will be shipped Prepaid & Add unless specified otherwise (i.e. collect or 3rd party).

·        All freight costs are estimates only and are subject to change without notice.

·        Weights and dimensions determine freight class; therefore freight class may fluctuate based on quantity and packaging.  

·        All weights on this website and in product literature reflect actual product weight, not shipping weight.

·        All Lockwood specs have the right to change without notice.

 

 

Damaged or Lost Shipments:

  • Lockwood is not responsible for merchandise damaged while in the hands of a carrier.
  • All goods must be fully inspected for outside and concealed damage at time of delivery.
  • Any damaged goods must be refused at delivery for Lockwood to provide a replacement.
  • Acceptance of damaged goods, whether signed for “free or clear” or with “damage noted” puts the claim responsibility in the hands of the consignee.  It will be the consignee’s responsibility to file the claim direct with the delivery carrier.
  • For any lost goods in transit, Lockwood must be notified to open an investigation with the carrier.

 

Incorrect Shipping Address/Address Correction Fee/Undeliverable Returns: 

  • If the shipping address provided for your order is invalid and the carrier does an address correction billed back to Lockwood, a shipping address correction fee of up to $25.00 per package will be charged if the order has already shipped.
    These charges are determined by delivery carrier and cannot be disputed.  In most cases, Lockwood will try to correct the address if it's been deemed invalid at time of shipping.
  • If the shipping address provided for your order is invalid and the carrier returns the package as undeliverable, Lockwood will issue a credit on the order less return shipping cost and up to 25% restock.  
    These charges are determined by delivery carrier and cannot be disputed.  

 

  

Purchase Orders

 

All purchases are required in writing either by e-mail, fax or mail.  All verbal orders must be followed up in writing.  Any cancellation of order after production starts could result in a cancellation/re-stock fee.

Individual account payment terms are subject to change without notice.  Account delinquencies and inactivity can change open terms to pre-paid.  Pre-paid terms would include check or ACH transfer in advance.  Starting March 2018, ALL credit/debit card purchases will include a convenience fee.
